Our ear tag continuously captures all head movements of your animals. Instead of transmitting this massive raw data stream, the first AI model evaluates these movements directly on the tag. It automatically identifies what the animal was doing during that timeframe and transmits only the final result to our servers. This massive data reduction is the key to long battery life.

The HerdTek Cloud brings it all together. This is where our main cloud AI takes over, combining the tag’s behavioral data with cardiovascular metrics like heart rate and HRV. Analyzing this complete picture lets the system detect health anomalies early, long before physical symptoms ever show.

Learning from Real Footage

For the ear tag to recognize what activities like feeding or resting look like as raw data patterns, it must be trained first. During our development trials, we record reference behavior on camera and link this footage directly to the tag's raw motion data. Step by step, our AI models learn how to accurately interpret the sensor data.

Ground-Truth Verification

Our system doesn't require cameras in your barn. We use video strictly during internal R&D trials to establish ground truth. When a tag logs an anomaly during testing, our engineers cross-reference the footage against raw motion data to verify accuracy and calibrate our models.
